3S – Solar Service Station, Tondo

Run by Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y), an NGO for young and disadvantage persons. 3S is a lighting program with business a model operating as a Business Social Enterprise in the slum of Estero de Vitas and Brgy. 105, Tondo. It rented out Solar Charged Portable Lamps for a minimal fee. Designed for the Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) of SunPower Corporation, a Solar PV fabrication foreign owned company,  the first station was built at Sitio Damayan in 2014 on a 40 footer container van. On the following year a second station was opened at Temporary Housing in Brgy.105. To sustain its activity,  SolarSolutions were engaged by SunPower Corporation to serve as technical partner and manager in running the stations.
