Brgy. Poblacion in Carles, Iloilo is composed of more than 1000 households.
It is the town’s center of trade and commerce. Through the generosity of many friends, SolarSolutions Inc. installed a solar-powered lighting system and charging station. The installation is located in front of the town transportation terminal and the public market where the traffic of commuters from other baranggays and poblacions is high. Whereas other charging stations in the area cost Php 10 – 15 for cellphone charging, the solar-powered charging station caters to about 100 cellphones a day for free and it operates from 7 am to 6 pm.
